The lefts view of religion. Their sheer hatred of it has caused me Over the last 7 years to drift back towards Christianity. If these people that are so wrong about every moral choice hate it, there must bsomething to it
The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God. That is something that threatens the left. If our Creator is the one that endows inalienable rights, they can't have the power they want. They want to be in the role of arbiter of rights, justice, wrath, salvation. But they are limited weak humans and not God. Thy don't have the wisdom, knowledge, or power to handle that role.
There is definitely something to it. The book i recommend to people to show just how much evidence there is for it is called The Rational Faith by Jason Crook. Please read it you will find it very helpful!
A very well written letter. I live in a small town, and every Saturday morning when I walk my dog, regardless of the weather, a local AA group meets in the park because the church where they normally meet is closed.
I have friends who have suffered with addiction, and I can't imagine a more essential service than those meetings.
I also grew up in a very Catholic family, and I know my mother would belong to a secret society that would meet in people's basements to receive the Sacrament from a Priest.
The Pilgrims didn't come here for milk and honey. They came here for religious freedom.
God bless every churchgoer who has been locked out of your house of worship.
Sad Catholic pede here, so very disappointed (but not at all surprised) that the Catholic bishops of my nation have all bent the knee to tyranny. Glad that an independent bible Church is standing up, but we all know it should be the big mainline churches...but they are all infiltrated.
Too many churches are compromised by false teachings, if not they divide over stupid crap. They also have too many weak men, afraid to stand up for what they believe is right, scared of the fake news flu, etc. Churches will never unite, but THE Church, the true believing Christians will have too stand up together and put aside pitiful grievances
Yep, that's unfortunate. Or losing tithe money. I'm in seminary now, probs will get fired from the first few churches I work at, oh wellz truth is worth it and the wife agrees
This argument holds no water because it depends on particular religious beliefs. It is cyclic. To someone of another religion or no religion or of the same religion but do not interpret it literally, that is no basis. Government should not make decisions based on religious beliefs and congress is forbidden from making laws relating to religion.
Blasphemy? So what? Against what? There is no god.
Maybe churches should stop fleecing the naive and ignorant for tax-free dollars. Protest lockdowns but please, don't go calling on non-existing invisible pink unicorns to justify it.
The current top comment juxtaposed with yours gives a clear example why we see conservatives having a religious revival. People like you have pushed too hard and too fast. All you had to do was stop mocking and stop calling out religion and your group would have grown. Instead you've made people think twice about their beliefs. Great job!

Well, not all religions - they tend to fetishize anything that's not Judeo-Christian.
Yes, that's because God is the great liberator - all others enslave.

ditto. Well said
Good. Cant believe what's happening

Maybe the current "pope" will end up being the False Prophet of the Anti-Christ?
I had heard (dunno where, at this point) that the Pope said he was considering resigning? Didn't sound likely to me.
Laity needs to hang the fake pope by the neck until dead.
I'm waiting for a pastor to state, publicly, that they wish to "declare a fatwa" against the governor of their locked-down state.
Watch that shit open back up quicktime.

They are too worried about their tax-exempt status to preach truth.
Yep, that's unfortunate. Or losing tithe money. I'm in seminary now, probs will get fired from the first few churches I work at, oh wellz truth is worth it and the wife agrees
Church deemed unessential but our liquor stores essential and business never better. Sick twisted world now
This. 💯 %
"We ought to obey God rather than man." -- The apostle Peter when he and John were hauled into court for disobeying a court order to stop preaching.
It very much is persecution, and you are correct about them not closing down mosques.
A verbal whipping is all well and good, but what exactly does the church, or its flock, plan to do about it?
AMEN
We are past the point of penning "epic" responses. The sword is mightier.
The sword begat the constitution.
Now you have the gun to defend it.
During are wars, there are the words of encouragement, of focusing the defense.

I’m sorry for whatever happened to you.
They do indeed.
Sadly these clowns are brainwashing children and stealing money from the poor. That I do denounce.
