It feels like Rush is fading fast. I hope he is able to last long enough to be able to see Trump inaugurated on the 20th. I treasure every single broadcast now. I hope you all do too.
As a cancer survivor myself, I say this often. In fact, this is probably the biggest shift in my thinking from that diagnosis.
Life is an absolute miracle. For all of our observations, we have yet to find anything like us anywhere in the observable universe.
To exist, to breathe, to taste, to move, to see the amazing world around us, to have friends... celebrate EVERY moment. We're not guaranteed a moment from now.
This is such an amazing and blessed perspective. I've been able to see things this way, and I treasure it. Once death isn't the scariest thing about life, life is never the same.
You're absolutely right! My wife and I are living life to the maximum legal limit. We go out when and where we can. We spend time with my kids, and my grandson. I do not care frankly if I catch that bug or not. I think I'll be fine. If I'm not, well, we all die of something, sooner or later. Hiding in your basement, fearful of life, is no way to spend your remaining time.
The crappy Thanksgiving commercials saying "wear your mask, stay home, or there will be an empty chair at Christmas..." made me furious. There's a decent chance grandma may not be at Christmas anyway! And now, you've abandoned her, left her alone in solitary confinement, withering in depression. That's better? Please.
I too treasure listening to Rush. I hope that when his time does come, that we have a President that does the right thing and has Rush lie in state so all Americans are given the chance to say a proper goodbye. Rush as done more for this country and for Americans than any/all politicians that have a D in front of their last name and regrettably most of the politicians that have a R in front of their last name.

God bless you
So then, what's your take on Covid.
My 80 y/o folks are living life to the fullest (that they can) in the middle of this.
My FIL/MIL are shuttered, won't see the grandkids, etc.
I mean, at 75+... you know your days are numbered. LIVE!
Jesus says we don't know the day or the hour...

Rush is and always will be a national treasure!
It also feels like an incredibly cruel time for him to die... 😢
