That will trigger a withdrawal from the joint session and a two-hour debate, followed by votes in each chamber. Only with a majority vote from both the House and the Senate would a challenge be upheld, which even supporters find unlikely, considering Democrats who control the House and Senate Republican leadership, including McConnell, have expressed disapproval with the plan to object.
this is all you need to know. Pence can't just "throw out" Biden electors from contested states. someone has to object, probably seconded too, then it goes to debate and BOTH houses have to vote majority to sustain. Which will never happen.
I'm still hopeful like everyone else that there's some procedural rule that Trump has that he hasn't told anyone but it looks like the Dems have the bases covered and there's no way to win without a hot war
this. people think the debate over "how it's counted" means he can throw out Biden electors from contested states and only allow Trump electors. that's NOT what it means. It just means he decides to count forward, backward, alphabetical whatever, but not which votes he allows and doesn't. There are no unilateral decisions
Maybe I'm missing something but unless Pence accepts his ability to intercede the objections don't have a chance of passing the House. So a spelling out of the "rules" shouldn't affect anything as Pence has to choose the other electors. I don't have much faith in him personally so I'm praying GEOTUS has a Trump card.
No clue bro! I have no faith in the pence plan. But the Ted Cruz plan I do. Why we need 10 more days after all this time god only know . But more should have been done to stop the fraud once it was known

He can because the ECA is unconstitutional

Doesn’t affect it. Constitution isn’t trumped by some last minute law
