Virginia is the only state in the country where you can, and will, get a speeding for going even 1mph over the posted limit.

Move to California. You'll never get pulled over even of you're driving like Dale earnhardt with expired registration. And if you do get pulled over and get a ticket you just say you aren't a citizen. Then they won't write you a ticket. But they have to still let you go. It's almost like a free pass.

Literally within 5 minutes of picking up the rental car at LAX, I was being honked at on the 405. Y'all nuts out there.

I've lived in Virginia my whole life and have never been pulled over and I go about 8-10 mph over the limit, routinely. You saying they target out of staters?

MD here, VA definitely targets out-of-staters since it's harder for them to fight it and they don't want to piss off the locals.

VA is hardly the only state that targets out of towners. That happens in a lot of states.

Virginian here. I have heard this more than enough to believe they do target out of staters. I will say the trick on the interstate is every time you see a white sign “for authorized vehicles only” to the left of the road, that’s where they hide out. They’re always in the middle and usually very well hidden. Look for the white signs and slow down then.

But they're every quarter to half mile in many places. So might as well drive the speed limit.

I lived in VA all my life. Keep within 5 mph, you'll be fine. Welcome to VA. Go wild in DC!

Wyoming is like this too, I got a ticket traveling through there and had to go back for court. Everyone in court with me that day were all ticket for going anywhere from 1-3 miles over the limit. It sucked ass.

Targeted enforcement for revenue generation is so slimy.

BaCk ThE bLuE.... Fuuuck any cop who does that shit. If you are one and reading this, you're a cunt. Check your life priorities and quit making people's lives miserable with your abuse of authority.

No joke, as soon as you go over the state line from TN you see "Speed Limit enforced by aircraft" What the absolute fuck

4
swutalk 4 points ago +4 / -0

They do aircraft enforcement in Cali, Texas and other west big states. so much ground to cover for cars.

TheMAGAdontStop 3 points ago +3 / -0

a speeding ticket for 10 mph over the limit in california is $300. pay a cop to hand out 10 tickets a day, and it is a cash cow to the government

16
Labyrinth9000 16 points ago +16 / -0

If you get stopped, just tell the cops that you have no idea why your stopped and disagree with them saying you’re speeding. The whole idea of police stopping a is to get you to confess, never confess!
