Everyone has my express permission to print this out on cards and hand them out to any law enforcement officer you see. It doesn't hurt to remind them of their Oath of Office.
I disagree. I think that it's simply officers are being pounded daily with calls for loyalty to a city, chief, sheriff, or department when their loyalty should be to none of them. Their ONLY loyalty should be to their Oath of Office, an ideology that will never change and thus can be trusted to be fair and consistent. As for departments and other people; "Stand with anybody that stands right, stand with him while he is right and part with him when he goes wrong." - Abraham Lincoln. Add to this mix that law enforcement officers are people too and have lives and families that depend on them to feed, clothe and support them. It takes a lot of courage and familial support to stand your ground on morality, patriotism and your oath of office when faced with corrupt self-serving law enforcement supervisors who try to torment you or fire you for not following their unconstitutional orders. I know because I've been faced with such situations. I put my trust in God and my family supported me in my decision and I survived to retire with full retirement. Militant personalities are quickly weeded out in pre-hire testing, BLET and field training. I can assure you that your average patrol level law enforcement officer is NOT on a militant power trip. That nonsense causes WAY TOO MUCH paperwork and not worth it in the end. Your average law enforcement officer just wants to help others, enforce the laws of their state to keep EVERYONE safe and to go home unharmed to their wives, husbands and children. What you view as "militant activity" is officers being put in impossible positions by politicians they should be buffered and protected from by weak and manipulated department heads (chiefs and sheriffs).
Wow, thank you for this quote. "Stand with anybody that stands right, stand with him while he is right and part with him when he goes wrong." - Abraham Lincoln
Remember 65% of people are willing to kill, simply because someone in a white lab coat said they should "continue with the experiment".
The pressure to conform is huge. Those that are able to stand out and do what is right when everyone is telling them to do wrong are rare.
By reminding our police of their oath, we make it easier for them to do the right thing because we are flipping the script. They are following what is right, they are grounded in their oath and our constitution.
Attention law enforcement: Your commie D.C. Mayor is ordering all on duty officers to arrest anyone peacefully protesting in accordance with their constitutionally protected right to do so, and anyone exercising their rights under the second amendment. So, unless you want to put yourself in a position to be treated as any other criminal attempting to use unlawful force against armed civilians, stay home on Wed. Maybe you'll come down with the coof.
We need to flip the script and make all cops carry this ID and have to show it of asked. Then they have to read it before making any arrest.

Actually there's been about a dozen PB arrested for defending themselves. At least 4 have done/are doing prison time for it.
Yeah I wasn't trying to be a dick but it's worse than most people know.

I too was very happy to find this quote. It resonates with me somehow. It's epic in it's simplicity.
