Seriously wondering if they each get a cut of that 5000 if they catch someone, they're being predatory as bounty hunters to these poor guys just trying to make a living. Doesn't help that I'm in OR where Brown has weaponized OSHA to an amazing degree.

A lot of people don't realize how fsr they go to pry information and snitch on people. Your dinner table and own children are likely to fuck you over with no clue what they were doing. I think the worst(as far as I've heard, I'm sure there's plenty worst that's come from authoritarian regimes) would be this hypothetical scenario(that actually played out)
Setting: you work in a bread factory because socialists have some bread fetish(breadophiles, we'll call them)
Breadophile approaches you: Hey, I'm new here. My wife works foe the government and got a bunch of free rations and food stamps that are supposed to be thrown away, do you want any of it?
You: Nah,i think I'm good. Thanks for the offer though, i can't risk the trouble of it.
Breadophile: Ok, no problem. I'll get back to work.
1 week later you are fired(and likely gulagged) because you didn't go out of your way to throw him(breadophile) under the bus. See, the breadophile was just an agent for the government. No food rations were discarded or up for grabs. They simply wanted to set up a sting to see if they could catch you committing the horrible crime of minding your own business and not helping the tyranny grasp our balls as hard as possible.
