I'm curious what the NG will do, I was in the active duty ans can tell you most them have never looked at the constitution and would gladly go against American citizens because its their job just like cops, but NG have jobs and lives to go back to, so im not sure what they'll do. Probably tread on our rights if I had to guess
In the USMC Infantry I had the "pleasure" of doing some joint training with some National Guard troops. They are great to have around in a flood but if there's a fire fight I have a strong feeling that our side will wind up with a bunch of free M-16's that have never been fired and only dropped once.

They actually aren’t under control of the DC mayor. They report solely to POTUS. The DCNG is different in that regard.
