Sounds mean but do they have to have the weirdos saying words out loud at all events?
Can't hearing people just read sign language? Doesn't seem like a big deal. I know it sounds mean coming from someone who is hearing impaired.
I am certainly not referring to deaf people as weirdos. I mean the people doing the signing next to the speaker. My daughter is a certified sign language translator and I have been to many deaf events with her. Many deaf people would agree with using captioning rather than signing which many deaf people have told me are very often done wrong on tv.
