There is no law. There is only power. And yeah, if politicians were executed for merely proposing these things - not just doing them - that would be a great deterrent. These people would start to choose their words VERY carefully.

It also only needs to happen a few times. Literally just one corrupt crooked politician dragged from his home and executed in front of his family would slow down a lot of this all by itself.
