Weather good, WV has lots of elevation. Weather bad—or good—81 along that ridge line and into the Shenandoah is always a nice drive.

When I drove to the inauguration I got a fat ticket in Wheeling WVA..doing 9 over. It was a speed trap and since I was from out of town, I got popped. So I'd avoid WVA, only speeding ticket I've ever had too.

West Virginia is very mountainous and less traffic and very rural. I always preferred it when driving in a passenger car. If I were pulling a trailer I would go Virginia.

Take the route with less hills, traffic variation, ect. Reduce fuel use and unpredictability factors.
