You guys are making too much of it. Your default should be walk in without one. If someone says something, just play dumb. Say, last i heard, dr fauci said they dont work and to save them for healthcare professionals. Or use my line. Say, “every mask i find, i save and donate to the senior center, for the folks who need it.” If they offer you one, say “bless your heart, you are a kind person, im going to donate this to the senior center for the folks who are susceptible to covid, i cant believe all these young healthy people are so thoughtless!”.
Call up a few people you know that hate masks and /or support Trump and organize the details from there.
