The Command Center has just advised that Jacksonville Center (ZJX) will need to go ATC-Zero at 2120z (1620 EST local) with a scheduled reopening at 0020z (1920 EST local) due to a required COVID cleaning. This will be very impactful for flight operators in/out of Florida that plan on transiting the Jacksonville Center Airspace. They are working on a NOTAM at this time and will advise if any contingency routes will be available. Flight operators should plan on avoiding Jacksonville Center airspace during the closure times if possible. More to follow.
