I'm guessing they saw which way the wind was blowing, that releasing the phone call really pissed of the Trump supporters and told this guy he needed to try to fix it, but he only made it worse. He was nervous as shit, babbling non-stop, trying to placate the Abrams people and the Rino's, telling people they need to get out and vote still not understanding it's the Trump supporters he needed to worry about.
