I realize that formally Trump is the leader of the military but informally, the people in control of the military aren't necessarily Trump.
If Trump gave a direct order to a general, the general simply can change the order to be whatever he wanted it to be and who would question this general? By the time Trump figured out his general wasn't listening to him, a coup could already be successful.
Who truly has the power and trust within the military? If there was a dispute between generals and the president, who would the officers listen to ultimately? Who would they follow?

We're at the point where society has been gaslighted to such an extreme that people can justify any position. Evidence is meaningless. It literally comes down to whatever side someone decides they want to support. There is no objective side which must be supported given the evidence. Rationality has been completely subverted.
This is why I'm asking the question. When the time comes, what side will people take and who ultimately controls the military so we can figure out which side they are on.

There is no question to that until 20 JAN. I think this will be resolved by then.
How will it be resolved? If Biden is declared president, many won't accept it. If Trump is declared president, many won't accept it. Who controls the military? Who will they decide to back?
I believe the majority of enlisted and junior officers in Combat Arms/Operations will support Trump. Those are the ones who matter. The ones with the training, experience, and weapons. With there support, and ours, Trump wins.
