Why don't manufacturers allow camera mode an option to automatically shoot landscape regardless of the gyro? You could change it, lazy mon.
But what if the gallows are higher than the view of the sideways screen? I need to see the whole body fall.

I know I will be glued to TDW especially after POTUS said to bring your cameras. the information he’s going to share the main stream media won’t and the only way it will get around is through all of you with your videos so bring Battery pack, Mophie, or something similar. Cell phone video should be shot HORIZONTALLY. Yes, I know it's easier to shoot video vertical because that's how you normally use your phone but not a very wide angle of view. For video like this you need a wide angle left and right so you can see what's happening
At this point I don't understand why they don't design phones so landscape mode is the default mode no matter how you hold the camera. Its easier to hold a phone in portrait mode so people will always keep doing it until they change that.
Exception: vertical is permissible if needed to get an entire pitchfork and/or musket into the shot.

As a professional videographer, I agree with this whole-heartedly. Drives me up the fucking wall when I see vertical footage!
