And once those 100% are gone, they're never allowed back

Their Network(s) will be destroyed -- this is the key reason

Btw, this excludes the entire military

This could be a once-in-a-lifetime event of the US public losing 100% faith in the government and having a vote of no confidence in the ENTIRE thing as a transaction

Yes, I know there are some that we like. The Jim Jordans, the Devin Nuneses, but I think even THEY would possibly consider this.

And we can also possibly put THEM back in, make exceptions that is democratically voted back on. Or have a rule that if they supported Trump and the rule of law and took lawful actions when their peers were too cowardly to, then THEY can stay

This would be a period of great chaos and obviously it would create a state of emergency; and the US military would have to be retained to "extreme vet" people for security issues and issuing clearances

And also to protect the nation, we'd probably have to bring back 95% of the military to the US to defend the nation during this crisis

We'd have to use the military also to hire people back into the government, so that it's an efficient streamlined process that keeps this new government protected and safe and secure and also makes a best effort to ensure national security

Still

I think it's better to have random people than to have known criminals in our government. Even if some of the random people become corrupted, there is ONE HUGE BENEFIT

Because they are RANDOMLY chosen, and Put into random spots, there is ZERO chance of them having "organized crime". So if they become corrupted in office, they are corrutped on an island with only a small network

In the early days of the nation, the course of government could be swung 180 degrees by an election.

Since the rise of the permanent bureaucracy, changes in course are tiny increments, always moving toward bigger government.

The bureaucracy IS the deep state.

Per this deep state site, you can't fight city hall dates to the mid-1800s. So, likely at least as old as you say.

Heyyyy. I am one of those civil servants (on break right now) and have been commended for both "giving a damn and having a clue". Additionally I love what I do and am surround by great people. Not a shill, either, I really do like the work.

Making it easier to get rid of corrupt dead weight was something GEOTUS did at the outset and it has made a difference.

Now if we can do that at the state and county levels, LOTS of our current problems would be solved.

Nope. I see crap everywhere and usually with those who have gained a bit of authority and just stay there. Now, I can't really say that what they do is bad other than gum up the works because they're afraid of making a decision.

'Unwilling to make a decision'- isn't that the definition of management?

Ex contractor here. I too want agree. You can almost walk across an office and see dead weight in a short time.

I remember hearing during the govt shutdown all the useless people were sent home and the most competent and dedicated remained (working for free) to keep it functioning minimally. And in many cases, overall performance improved.

I proudly admit to being one of the ones who stayed.

Why the hell are they hiring so many contractors when they have millions of employees?

5
Live_Right 5 points ago +5 / -0

After 21 years in Federal Civil service, the visible waste and corruption would make me pissed daily. Spend $5 million for studies that a grade school kid could do in 2 weeks. After 6 months, the 20 page PowerPoint is presented and forgotten. Then the next contract awarded. Then you retire from Fed Govt and go to work for the same contractors for retirement bonuses. SWAMP

Or just fire everyone and leave it at that. Honestly no one would notice.

Why do you think they do things like close federal parks when there's a government shut down?

They basically hold public property/services hostage, make it inconvenient for everyone and blame the government shutdown, because otherwise no one would even notice.

Random unemployed people.. nah brah. China would fuck us in an hour

I've been pro random selection of politicians for 2 year terms for a long time. Would be, on average, better

2
Ben45 2 points ago +2 / -0

the people who are currently unemployed will be of the exact same character as those who they are replacing

2 more issues that must be addressed: Congressional Aides that will have all the power in a "Term Limited" office and K Street Lobbyists.

Start at your local city hall and govt agencies. There are so many lies fed to the regarded union class..

Unfettered job security for non-essential govt ‘work’. We need heads on a fucking stick. That’ll send the msg

They'll game the system by being unemployed so as to fill those positions.

Also, you don't want to fill those permanent positions by people who can't find or hold down jobs under normal circumstances.

That being said, one form of democracy involves elected officials being selected at random. The argument being that while they may not be the best qualified, they would collectively be a true representation of the electorate and relatively immune to corruption as you couldn't just funnel money into the election campaigns of whomever is the most corrupt or most on your side to stack the representative body with a group that looks nothing like the electorate.

Yeah fuck that. This is possibly the most retarded idea ever. There is a reason the founding fathers specifically said this country was made for a moral people and the public servants are to be better men.

Can we just eliminate these agencies? Literally the FBI was created to share law enforcement information... why do we need the FBI today?

There are so many other examples of agencies that shut down and nobody notices or complains at their loss.

Honestly, do the same for congress, a random well-shaved homeless person would be better than our "career politicians". Being a political leader is not hard, it was a job that was designed to be easy and hard to fuck up.

1
Loiuzein 1 point ago +1 / -0

I said this a while ago myself. The only people who should be in these jobs are the ones who don't want to do it.

You need to understand that on their way out the door they'll burn or steal maps, handbooks, training materials, schematics, anything else that can be used to replace them and their institutional knowledge.
