This is the best way to describe him. On certain things he's very logical and makes tons of sense. Then he ignores fact in order to bend himself to certain ideologies, most of which have been anti-Trump.
I feel like he took his side early on (non-Trump) and now it's too late for him to go back. He should swallow his pride and realize the truth of things in regards to the President, rather than continue down a fantasy path of never-Trump.
I didn’t know that about him, so fuck him, but I agree with his thoughts here. It’s so easy to donate to a cause that the government should stop forcefully taxing us to give money to those same causes.
Penn is an asshole for the most part, but he's right. The same people who do that shit or donate to "causes" for the prestige are the same ones who think they're holier than thou and call the Karen hotline to report you not wearing a mask or the ones with "hate has no home here" or "BLM" signs on their lawn. They want you to believe they believe in that shit but if someone challenged them to go do something to help black peepo they wouldn't. They'd think just a sign on their lawn, paying white guilt payments to BLM and occasionally standing with BLM protest groups is all they need to do to be righteous
