If it was legal in the state he was leaving, it's likely they didnt care. if his bags were scanned coming in and the mag is illegal in DC, you have the current situation.

Makes sense that the mags would be with those guns too. This is very fishy unless he was trying to get arrested. These are low level misdemeanors but his arrest brings massive attention and creates anger among patriots. He could've driven there but he would've never been noticed in the big crowd and the police would not have tried to arrest him in a crowd of PB's. Going to jail over misdemeanors is nothing. Legal in checked bags. Depending on destination. Can fly into Reagan with gun, mags, and ammo if declared and stored properly.
