The Senators can object and there will be two hours of debate for each objections. Senate will then vote to sustain or overrule the objections (accept or reject). McConnell has already stated there are not enough votes to sustain the objections, thus, no reason to even try. This is the procedure in the Electoral College Act. Trump can bypass the Act if he can somehow get the Electoral College votes punted back to the State Legislatures before the votes to accept or reject. The state legislatures, in emergency sessions, can then nullify the Governor’s electors and tell Congress that Trump electors should be counted. Ideally, the count gets stopped before it gets to Senate or House. I left out a bunch of details. Other way is if Trump produces irrefutable evidence and Congress all vote to sustain objections.

Thank You.. any reason why Trump would wait this long to produce said evidence at the senate? He clearly has something big planned and wants the American people to see it. why wait? any legal or constitutional strategy to it?

The only reason (my opinion) is the truth bombs are so shocking, the Senate and House will have no time to spin his evidence. It will be treason if they do without further investigation. The peaceful protest starts at 9 am and votes are to be counted at 1pm. 4 hour window and Congress can’t move that fast. Honestly, though, if they’ve already disregarded all the evidence that’s out there, I am not sure Trump has anything they won’t be able to quickly say “more unfounded conspiracy theories “. As stated, just my opinion
