Me and my fiancée are now a statistic and are Covid positive. My world has ended, my career is shot, death is knocking at my doorstep and life is over for us.
Just kidding. Other than regular flu symptoms, things are fine. Started with a slight cough Wed and progressed into some muscle ache with me sleeping pretty much all day yesterday. She's taking it a bit harder as just having recovered from laparoscopic surgery last week - the energy drain for her has been pretty substantial.
Guess what? If it happens, it happens. If it didn't, it didn't. We'll get over it, move on and continue our lives. Don't let the flu scare you into submission of your rights. That's never, ever a thing.
Edit: I'm really feeling the love here, everyone. Thank you all very, very much for your best wishes, advice, and kind words! We'll get through it. Just a matter of time.
Out of interest, have you lost sense of taste/smell? That's supposed to be one of the main differences from regular cold/flu, according to some who've had it.
I lose my sense of taste and smell with every single cold I’ve ever had.
my gf had it and gave it to me. i never lost my sense of smell/taste. It's been over 2 weeks and she still can't smell or taste anything and has no other symptoms. the people at her work (hospital) all report having lingering symptoms but they can be any one of them, some people have headaches for a while some people are tired for a while and some people cant taste anything for a while. it's not a 1 size fits all thing and affects people differently.
