The last option is how I see it playing out. I think Pence kicks it down to the house. Objectively it's going to be career suicide if he doesn't. I've found in life for the most part people act selfishly and always favor themselves. I think he stalls it.
We will see. Just do not see VP having the balls to step up.
Pence will join with the RINO crowd: Mitch, Romney, Cornyn, Graham... There are plenty in the RINO club.
Pence has no chance at 2024 Presidency because he is too dull... Pence has nothing to lose by cucking out here. And much to gain by punting it to Mitch and Nancy.
Not much to lose...apart from going down as the man that lost the Republic because he overlooked blatant LIES? Also, I don’t see how a supposedly Christian man can allow lies and evil to just fester like that and then stand before God someday and answer for it. I think he knows this is his moment. No amount of riches or future fortunes can undo betraying your fellow Americans like that.
Vice President Mike Pence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have reached an informal backroom deal to expedite the January 6 challenge in the Electoral College and end it with a simple majority vote after a two hour debate, multiple Capitol Hill sources have confirmed to National File.
I waffle between what you said and that fact that all politicians are basically self interested. And some are morons but enough are likely smart enough to know that voting in Biden is the end of party. With that, also the destruction of half the uniparty. With a new and viable third party, it becomes the beginning of the end for the other half of the uniparty. If they put Trump back in, they live to fight another day.
If Pence has aspirations to run for President, he might step up here and support Trump.
I would support Pence in 2024 if he stepped up here. But would never support him if he surrendered without a fight.
Some reports are that Pence wants to be Senator. In that case, the best move for Pence might be to surrender and make a deal with Mitch here and hope that Indiana forgets in 2024.
But I do believe Trump had a sit-down with Pence and Trump knows whether Pence plans to fight or not. Trump is his boss. Don't see how Trump would not know.

Wow. You have confidence in VP.

Have you seen this?!

This is my perspective as well.
