I understand the point of religion now. If our rights come from God, no one can take it away.

God still loves you! Thanks for praying. The only thing I could tell you....When folks study the composition of the smallest molecule they can, and observe the intelligent design involved, the more they realize something was behind it....no randomness. An unbeliever has to accept that all design is random, although the discoveries are consistent. A believer accepts there is a power greater that is at work. It is then faith in God that comes forth. I hope that your heart will be softened one day. Heaven is a wonderful place.

Yes, there are. They just don’t stay there for long, because like life you got to keep moving forward.

Listen, I’m not here to disagree, Marine. They definitely do exist. I happen to have been a grunt for 10 years. I’ve humped the Hindu Kush time after time. I’ve had shots cracked over my head and kept moving. Had friends get disfigured by cowardice fucks, myself included. No KIA, divine intervention? Maybe. So..... personal experience reports that you’re wrong. At least Bastogne had uniformed enemies. We live in Gorilla Warfare and Ambush Tactics. You’ll be on patrol then ambushed. Get your head out of the sand and understand that not every warrior abides by your doctrine.

Atheists who believe in undeniable human rights base it on Natural Law.

You don't have to be religious to believe that rights don't come from the government.

Was raised catholic/Lutheran myself, became and atheist, and within the last year or so I’ve realized it’s Christianity that has created the western world. No other religion has that ability. Also wen you get out of the city and into the countryside—which I have done—and focus on becoming more self sufficient it’s hard to ignore the beauty in life. I’m beginning to believe again, a return to traditionalism. Wish I had a Catholic Church near me. Perhaps the Lutheran church will do for now.

I just confirmed it’s ELCA...

Might have to look at churches in town then. Thanks for the heads up.
