Did the cops plant the mags? This was orchestrated by Mueller/Weissman holdovers and Jeanne Rhee.

24
Italians_Invented_2A 24 points ago +26 / -2

Of course they planted them.

I find it hard to believe that our guy would have anything possibly incriminating on him, knowing that he could be targeted. He'd have enough buddies to carry his stuff anyway.

19
poolnoodle 19 points ago +19 / -0

Exactly. He is becoming our Tommy Robinson.

No guns? Just magazines? Or, are the guns legal and the magazines aren’t? (I know 2a they should be legal, but that’s a different discussion.)

2
NadlerShartWaddle 2 points ago +2 / -0

A fired casing can put you away in DC.

A magazine is treated no differently than a gun.

4
DeepDMingDeep 4 points ago +4 / -0

My point is, there's no reason to carry a magazine to DC without a gun. Also easier to plant a magazine than a gun.

2
NadlerShartWaddle 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's real easy to leave a magazine or some ammo laying around in a vehicle not realizing that it's legally the same thing as an actual firearm in some jurisdictions.

But yes, they very easily could have planted it.

DeepDMingDeep 3 points ago +3 / -0

the dude just got off a plane, though.

2
NadlerShartWaddle 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good point.

5
abstr4ct 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well, DC considers 10 rounds in a mag a "high capacity". I'm fairly sure some regular hand guns have 10 rounds.

6
Italians_Invented_2A 6 points ago +6 / -0

More like 15. I wouldn't feel comfortable with a gun with only 10 rounds. 15 is the minimum I'd go.

2
jarvis 2 points ago +2 / -0

A glock 19, considered a compact 9mm, has 15 rounds.

2
RahkeemTheMachine 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same in Massachusetts. Anything more than 10 rounds gets you 10 years in prison. Just for the magazine

2
abstr4ct 2 points ago +2 / -0

https://code.dccouncil.us/dc/council/code/sections/7-2506.01.html yes it is nuts, considering many guns have 15 rounds. It's re-defining words, such as "high capacity".

2
keepssigningmeout 2 points ago +2 / -0

We had freedom week in california March 2019. People bought tons of magazines with more than 10 rounds. Massachusetts seems worse than ca for gun laws? Or the same?

1
RahkeemTheMachine 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’d say it’s better to an extent. I think we have looser conceal carry restrictions. We can also still buy any type of gun made pre 1994.

Then burning the American Flag is a hate crime. AND, kneeling at the NATIONAL ANTHEM should be a hate crime. Fucking commies.

-7
brassmule -7 points ago +3 / -10

I think the issue with him burning the BLM flag was not that he burned a flag, but that the flag did not belong to him. It was removed from the exterior of a church and then burned. That's destruction of property and will get you the same charge regardless of what kind of flag it was.

12
DeepDMingDeep 12 points ago +12 / -0

I get it. That’s a crime. Not one that cops would do a multi-state manhunt for, however. This was a political targeting.

5
brassmule 5 points ago +5 / -0

I definitely agree there. The police state have specifically targeted right-leaning individuals for alleged crimes which BLM/antifa have committed numerous times without consequences.

The "hate crime" is the issue. Read the charges. Also, he didn't take the flag it was already taken when he came across it and not by him.

brassmule 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unlike the property destruction, he did not admit to a hate crime and this reporting indicates that at the time of writing no hate crime charges had been filed and would not be filed until today if at all. Do you have the link to the source you are using to see that hate crime charges were filed?

Obviously there is no such thing as a hate crime, so that's totally BS as well, along with him being specifically targeted.

But he did admit to a crime on video and said he would plead guilty. The narrative that he "only" burnt a flag is not true. He destroyed property and admitted to doing so.

0
tentigers99 0 points ago +1 / -1

He admitted to burning the flag. They threatened to charge him w/hate crime. Whether they will or won't, I don't know. I'm upset that that's even an option in this case. That's my beef.

1
brassmule 1 point ago +1 / -0

You asked me to read the charges. They were not provided in this source and I have not found them elsewhere.

Again, since you have read them, would you kindly share a link?

I agree. I don't do the down vote thing and people deserve their opinion without being down voted. I just deport shills. I don't think he's one but, maybe others did.

Thetigerpoppy 14 points ago +14 / -0

The post yesterday from someone who was with him said he got picked up at the airport, how did that change to now he got picked up in his car with magazines?

13
TorchesPitchforks [S] 13 points ago +13 / -0

He was picked up by a friend at the airport in Virginia. DC cops were waiting; followed the vehicle until it was inside the District then pulled him over.

They pulled his vehicle over to arrest him for the misdemeanor. While searching the vehicle, they found two magazines and have now charged him with those felonies.

8
Thetigerpoppy 8 points ago +8 / -0

Is it illegal to advocate forcibly releasing him? That is some fucked up BS and in fairness the post from that guy in France warned everyone the leaders of various groups would be targeted for arrest so they wouldn't be able to organize on the ground, but we shouldn't let them achieve that aim by letting it go peacefully

2
tentigers99 2 points ago +2 / -0

NEXT MAN UP MENTALITY! We all need that frame of mind!

This is typical police bullshit. The irony is that it's stuff like this which is what BLM should have been rioting over rather than justified police work over black criminals.

We should hang a few police officers in response to this to send them a message.

polish_snausage 8 points ago +8 / -0

Plot twist... one was Tiger Beat.

6
Gilliais 6 points ago +6 / -0

The charge for the mags might be fake news. Not in the police report, according to this:

https://nationalfile.com/fake-news-washington-post-falsely-claims-proud-boys-leader-was-arrested-with-firearms-magazine/

4
TheDoninator 4 points ago +4 / -0

So hang on how would he have even gotten those through the airport? Are you allowed to fly with magazines/ammo?

3
TorchesPitchforks [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

In checked luggage, yes. Unloaded mags may also be okay in carry on but I'd need to double check that.

He flew into Virginia where the gun laws are not as strict as DC.

2

He was at the airport getting picked up??? This doesn't add up. Misinformation?? Planting evidence??

3

Fake news. He's only being charged with the destruction of property.

1
TAIWANNUMBERONE 1 point ago +1 / -0

How did airport security not find it first?

1
TorchesPitchforks [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not illegal to fly with magazines or weapons if they are declared to the airline in advance. Possession of them is illegal in DC.

1
Whirlybot 1 point ago +1 / -0

He should have mailed them to himself at a hotel in DC.

1
motrhed3 1 point ago +1 / -0

so if he was pulled over and they searched his vehicle, how did he get a vehicle on a commercial passenger plane? this guy must have better magic than david blaine.
