I find it hard to believe that our guy would have anything possibly incriminating on him, knowing that he could be targeted. He'd have enough buddies to carry his stuff anyway.
It's real easy to leave a magazine or some ammo laying around in a vehicle not realizing that it's legally the same thing as an actual firearm in some jurisdictions.
We had freedom week in california March 2019. People bought tons of magazines with more than 10 rounds. Massachusetts seems worse than ca for gun laws? Or the same?
Of course they planted them.

Exactly. He is becoming our Tommy Robinson.
No guns? Just magazines? Or, are the guns legal and the magazines aren’t? (I know 2a they should be legal, but that’s a different discussion.)
A fired casing can put you away in DC.
A magazine is treated no differently than a gun.
My point is, there's no reason to carry a magazine to DC without a gun. Also easier to plant a magazine than a gun.

But yes, they very easily could have planted it.
Well, DC considers 10 rounds in a mag a "high capacity". I'm fairly sure some regular hand guns have 10 rounds.
More like 15. I wouldn't feel comfortable with a gun with only 10 rounds. 15 is the minimum I'd go.

A glock 19, considered a compact 9mm, has 15 rounds.

Same in Massachusetts. Anything more than 10 rounds gets you 10 years in prison. Just for the magazine
https://code.dccouncil.us/dc/council/code/sections/7-2506.01.html yes it is nuts, considering many guns have 15 rounds. It's re-defining words, such as "high capacity".

I’d say it’s better to an extent. I think we have looser conceal carry restrictions. We can also still buy any type of gun made pre 1994.
