The crypt level is equally as amazing as the basilica up top. It’s ringed with chapels to many different nations’ patron saints, many of which have inspiring stories commemorated on plaques just outside the shrines.
It’s a beautiful building. Better than the National Cathedral by a long shot, and easy to get to on the metro.
Yup! All are welcome and it’s free of course. Crypt level is amazing. I’ve spent hours down there. With all of the museums closed, it’s a perfect place to spend a few hours.

I was visiting Hagia Sofia in Constantinople. Completely blown away. Sadly it was converted to a Mosque just a few months ago.
