For protests, yes... unfortunately. When BLM was burning the city down DC had a lot of closures too. Million MAGA March had same/similar closures

They are normal for large events, but not on the day before.

Maybe they're being ass-holes, or maybe they're being overly cautious based on the massive number of people expected.

Yeah there's going to be more than a million people down there. You can't just drive up the Lincoln Memorial and park.

Search for public parking in Washington DC and you can also download parking apps.
