I never had a big family, I lost basically half my immediate family 10 years ago for standing up for what was RIGHT after initially going to them first with the problem but no one did anything. It wasn't politically related but I know how it goes. These were the people (aunt, 3 cousins) who I grew up with when I was a kid. Lived less than a mile away, went there a lot, holidays, block party's etc. All those "special" moments growing up and such.
Gets easier as time goes on. Probably helped that im a loner as is. If I had to do it all again knowing what the outcome would be... Id do it in a heartbeat. I wouldn't back down for doing the right thing.
