I think they knew very well what they were doing. They posted the first tweet to rattle people up, then post the follow up tweet of what is actually happening, but do nothing about the first one. Common fake news tactic. The damage is already done. People believe the first one and don't bother with the follow up tweet. It worked here after all. There's tons of pedes here on this site already losing their everloving shit over the first tweet.
