I swore to defend my country against all enemies, foreign and domestic, several times. I'm still willing to do that. But, after prayer and contemplation, I don't believe I'm being called to do that. I thought I'd share, in case it helps any brothers or sisters who are here.

First, a little story.

Genesis 18: 20 Then the LORD said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous 21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.” 22 The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the LORD. 23 Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24 What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? 25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” . . . 32 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.” . . . Chapter 19: 12 The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, 13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”

I don't think there are ten righteous people in Washington. I know there are good people throughout the country, and I pray that God saves most of them. Hopefully they find a little town like Zoar where they can start again, and not too many of their family look back.

We see this pattern over and over, though. The people turn away, they suffer the consequences, and the survivors come back to righteousness. One day, the people will turn away for the last time, and everything will be burned.

I'm not one who pretends to know it's time for the world to burn. I hope it isn't- I have children with great potential for good. It's definitely possible they will find the world unhospitable, though.

The question is, what do we do about it? I believe, had the angels found ten good men, those men may have have been called to fight and restore their cities. God allows for self defense, and even national defense. What do we do, though, when it's not worth saving?

Paul has some advice in Romans, ch. 12: Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. . . . 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Then it gets really hard:

chapter 13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

This has been hard for me. I have been conceited. I have wanted revenge. I have hated those who would persecute the innocent. I have never been afraid to die, but I have been afraid to admit defeat in this world and live. But every man has a choice, and if too many choose evil, society will suffer the consequences. Those consequences are coming for us.

I've always loved Ecclesiastes. It's probably that conceit again, but I like to think I understand it a little, and have learned and earned some of its wisdom. I wish everyone would hear it, and listen. But they will not. And it's not my responsibility to make them, or to punish them for it. I always focused on the penultimate verse, but now I see the wisdom of the last one:

Ecclesiasteds12: 13 Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

I believe we are to judge righteous judgment. But it is God who reveals the deeds and makes the final judgment.

The Commander in Chief has not asked me to bring a gun and fight. The people's representatives have not identified an enemy. Even in this forum, very few would side with me. Yes, America's founders acknowledged the right of the people to overthrow their government; I believe God allows us to set up governments. He also expects us to honor the one we end up with. Do you really have sufficient evidence to judge for yourself who should die? There is no alternative government to follow. If ten good men were willing to fight, arrest traitors, hold righteous judgment, and destroy the enemies of good, I'd be there. But I don't think those men exist. It's time to go to Zoar, and pray the angel fire misses me. It's time to fight by living as good as I can, not by dying for a doomed government.

HAHA FUCK YEs PEDED TOW THAT LINE !!!

DeadOverRed [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's true. Can you identify the commies who have no qualms about genocide by looking at them? Are you confident enough to just kill everyone in D.C.? Because, if I were to go, that would be my goal.

Sugar4Brains 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you look at history, when the soviets fell, they ran off to the western world. That is why America really started to go into a higher gear of commie in the early 90s through all the institutions.

So the same will happen now, they would run off to China, etc and let America drop like Russia was.

To finally end it.. China must be attacked while going after the big money commies.

Just fighting their pawns isn't going to do anything.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I could go with that. So, which leaders are calling for war with China? You may find one.

1
Sugar4Brains 1 point ago +1 / -0

many have their hands in the china cookie jar.. it would be best, like always, to get china to fight itself. The old rulers before Xi are not friends. There is a struggle with their rich against the CCP. Have them divide and align with one side to destroy the other.

Communism always falls under its own weight. I'd just like to get the United States out from under it.

1
Sugar4Brains 1 point ago +1 / -0

It falls because the ones running it are parasites that have promised lies to the people. Only a few socialist countries were ever true to their people.. I can't think of any communist ones that ever were.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Socialism is just communism with leaders smart enough to not want to die. The result is always the same.

tldr.

some christian is afraid to go to DC because he refuses to kill people.

(no one is expecting you too)

sorry random christian doomer but i disagree with you in many ways. particularly this line. "GOD expects us to honor the government we end up with" that is like saying you will accept the rule of any tyrant that takes power no matter what he does. Good luck with that and thank the rest of us for keeping you free and safe.

MichellesLowFruit 2 points ago +2 / -0

I do not believe God wants people honoring the government they ended up with... how's that play out with lets say... Planned Parenthood or concentration camps in China?

You've got your own views blended into what other people are. They seem like jokes but there not, communists do not respect your "god given" anything. These individuals make up a majority of your government. See how you might be "honoring" the very thing that seeks to destroy your belief/existence. This isn't about the apple going bad its about the flies around it.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think we are to accept the rule of tyrants. Here's another hard one for you:

Colossians 3: 22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

3
laughsinamerican 3 points ago +3 / -0

again. you are missing the point. we are not slaves. we are free. you say slaves should do what they are told I guess? honestly, i understand your point because a slave is someone with no power and to disobey a harsh master is tantamount to suicide. but remember we are not slaves.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Okay, I didn't mean to misdirect you. No, we're not slaves yet. But, if we were, we are to be good slaves.

How do you respond to Romans 13 above: Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

1
laughsinamerican 1 point ago +1 / -0

The authority of the goverment is granted by the constitution, a document inspired by God, and we are within our rights and doing Gods will to make sure a constitutionally prescribed fair and legal election is held and the correct winner is declared.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

How are you going to do that?

1
laughsinamerican 1 point ago +1 / -0

You are watching it happen.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Good luck.

1
MichellesLowFruit 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your going in literal circles trying to justify evil really. What earthly master? Can you point out the figure here and tell me how they are not in direct conflict with God?

Master: Destroy your family, traditions, and religion. Slave to another slave: He's right, God said we gotta do it! Slave: This is fucked.

100 years later

Whats God?

2
DeadOverRed [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm not justifying evil, just pointing out its consequences. If a master says to do evil, that's when you disobey. That is clear from other verses. Until then, though, you obey, and do good at every opportunity.

As for "What's God?" I think history shows that people find God after suffering the consequences of sin.

Trump is being used by God to bring this country back to God. He does back you.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I hope you're right. I fear you are not.

3
AZTrumpette1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

If God isn't using him then that would mean Satan is and I do not believe that is true. Trump is fighting to expose the satanic pedophiles. He is fightint to protect God's most vulnerable, the children. More children recovered from trafficking then ever before.

Pray, ask God to bless you with discernment.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't think that's the only option. God could be using him to expose the evil, but there's no guarantee that it's to destroy the evil.

2
AZTrumpette1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

God is the only one powerful enough to destroy evil.

DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wrong. I follow same KING as David followed. Did David have sufficient evidence? Non-sense post.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

David had orders from God to kill the enemy. Do you?

3
CyberSolider33 3 points ago +3 / -0

Did I say I did? You're pathetic and twist words. Take your mumbo jumbo liberal non-sense back to the church where you probably have a woman "pastor" and perform "gay weddings".

DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

LOL. I'm regularly kicked out of churches for being too conservative, carrying a gun, and refusing to be afraid of COVID. Are you making a coherent argument, or just lashing out because I said something you don't like?

1
CyberSolider33 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't like what you said.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, I get that. But think about it after you calm down.

2
AZTrumpette1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

God speaks to each of us in His own way. God's plan for you are not the same as the next pede. Do God's work the way He asks you too and let others follow God's path for them.

2
DeadOverRed [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I already said I wouldn't judge those who felt they were called to fight. I also said I'd join them if they set up a legitimate alternative. What more would you ask?

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's a struggle because I think that ultimately fewer would die if we fought before they started killing. But I also think an individual isn't the one to make that decision.

Glad I'm not alone. I'm upset about the ones calling me weak or afraid or whatever. They missed the point. I'd much rather go fight and die. I just don't think it's the right thing to do.

I've seen enough. And yes, anti-Christianity will definitely be a part of what is coming.

When we break it all down, we know for a fact that there will come a day that this world is so corrupted that Jesus will return. That is a fact, but God does not ask us to let it happen. I am going to share a video with you and I pray that you watch it.

It's a great sermon. I skipped parts for the sake of time, but tried to get all the points. I agree with it. I do not object to resisting a wicked government.

I will resist, even at the cost of my own life. I will even fight if evil comes to my door. I will profess Christ on pain of death. I will profess Christ as Lord, not the State. But what did every example he listed do?

Did they set out to kill Caesar? The King? The evil rulers? Or did they simply say, "I will not bow to you, no matter the cost." And proceed to do that?

Fight by organizing a large prayer protest. Pray loud and praise God louder. We should be guiding people back to God. We each have a job to do, some to fight, some to lead, some to guide people to God.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Absolutely. Now that I've put down my gun, I will be doing this more.

I'm with you in theory, but how does one begin? I think if you and I found enough like-minded people to lay siege to D.C., arrest, try, and execute the evil traitors, and lay the foundation of a new government, we would be justified in doing so. Let me know when you have enough friends, I guess?

1st Samuel 19:8. DAVID KILLED ALL THE PHILLISTINES. WENT TO WAR. MADE HIS ENEMIES LIE DOWN SO HE COULD MEASURE THEM WITH ROPE. I THINK, JUST MAYBE THINK, DAVID WAS A CHRISTIAN TOO.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

David lived before Christ, and therefore, by definition, was not a Christian. But yes, he was a Godly man. David killed Philistines- as in, the enemy of his nation. They were at war.

So, I said, "I'm not going to kill my boss."

And you said, "You should kill Iranian soldiers if sent to war in Iran."

That's a different conversation.

1
CyberSolider33 1 point ago +1 / -0

What do you think we are in now? I see what you are doing, you are a liberal, trying to use the Word, to keep the movement going. I hear you, sounds like hissssss... hisssss... hissss.. again, you are like church of Philadelphia, you will be spit out of God's mouth. You know the Word, but so does Satan. I don't waste time with those that speak like this.

1
DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Don't waste time." When Satan tempted Jesus, Jesus answered him. Are you sure you're not the one listening to the lies?
