On my trip back from Florida for Christmas, my flight waitress, I’m stealing that term, Decided that they had to make an announcement every 30 to 45 minutes reminding you to keep your face diaper on despite the fact that the flight doesn’t land until 8 o’clock and half the plane was sleeping every time They made an announcement. Thanks assholes.
At one point I had gone to the back of the plane to use the bathroom, in all three flight waitresses were all crowded together inches apart looking at each other’s phones with their masks off snacking. Secondly saw me walk up there quickly tried to separate and put the masks on but I caught them. On my way out I made some comment about thanks for the reminder out the masks maybe you should try it, and suddenly they stopped caring about it for the remainder of the flight.
On my flight down they only Made one halfassed Announcement about wearing masks and social distancing and what not I never said a word about it for the remainder of the flight, and as far as I could tell they were no problems or complaints. They went about their business serve snacks and drinks and made some rounds afterwards collecting trash throughout the flight.
The flight back immediately begin with announcements throughout the boarding process about social distancing, mask wearing and then after the safety announcements lectures about how they’ll be coming around with separate trash bags for recycling, how the airline cares about the environment in offsetting the fuel emissions, etc. and I knew I had some obnoxious social justice warrior type flight attendant on that leg.
Edit: At the end of the return flight when they usually stand around and say thank you Aaron have a good day as everyone gets off the plane, the lead obnoxious flight attendant Try to but as everyone Filed out they responded to the pilot who is saying thank you and just completely ignored hurt, despite her standing directly next to said pilot.
