Be damn sure you do not leave the polling location until you are sure your vote was counted. If the machines are down, stand there and wait. Do not leave.
If you are a little bit late getting back from lunch your boss will understand. Remind them you are trying to keep their taxes low too.

Voted last week during early vote. Was given a form to fill out requesting absentee ballot. Lady took form and my DL, she looked at my signatures for awhile, I asked is there an issue with my signature and she said no, I asked what happens with the request form I filled out and she said it stays there. Once again I'm confused as to how they keep things straight since I didn't sign a register book like in person voting. Was given a card to insert in machine, voted, got printed out and I put into feeding machine, same as in person voting. I hated voting for L/P, but went through with it.
