They know you are there. They know you support Trump. There are certainly going to be hotel workers who are anti-Trump. They will take your stuff, damage it, or fuck with your shit in a way you won't know immediately, then they can deny anything (plausible deniability).

Just be extra cautious.

And, while you're at it... Make sure you are courteous to people. You are representing all of us, those who can make it and those who can't. We are a smart group of people, civilized, well-mannered, and have good principles. Let's be sure we save our tension for when it's needed.

Love you all for going out there... be safe.

Edit: It sounds like room safes are not very safe. You know what though, the room safe is still better than no safe. It may not be 'much' better, but it is still better than nothing.

another tip. Turn the bathroom light on, close the bathroom door, leave the TV on with volume at a point you can hear it. It will look like you are still in the room.

Hotel safes are not safe! Hide your stuff under the nightstand. Nobody looks under a nightstand, but hotel safes have numerous vulnerabilities. Watch Lock Picking Lawyer.

You should leave something in the locked safe. Say $20 in ones etc. That will throw them off the scent. BTQW also don't leave a spare room key out and visible. hide that or take it with you.

Lock Picking Lawyer has destroyed any faith I ever had in lock security.

I learned a long time ago that locks will only keep honest people honest.

I think it's all the 2a type of objects that gives it away. That and finely distilled beverages.

True that. Even if you change the default, most have a cheap manual backup under the nameplate.
