Same thing happened in my district in Ohio. Luckily everyone just stayed and eventually they started “magically” scanning again.

From the hearings we see bullying and intimidation are norms at these locations. Those are now the rules to participate in elections. Pretend you're the now lost New York cab driver and your passenger just told you they can't pay. Have to stand there, bully, and intimidate the workers to get it going. Get on the phone and bring down police, local election officials, get your lawyer on the phone and make a spectacle at that location until that vote is recorded. Have to drag it out and make it too onerous for the 'sorry the machine doesn't work' trick to be effective any longer.

This is the right approach. Trust but verify, as another great leader once said. Soon the area will be so crowded they will have to fix the machines or the crowds that have not entered will be so big the local media will have to cover it. It will be painful for those waiting outside but sometimes the pain is worth it.

That is EXACTLY what happened at my polling place in PA on Election Day. Did my ballot ever get scanned? I have no idea. Tried calling local Republican HQ to report this and NOBODY WAS IN THE OFFICE ON ELECTION DAY!

The answer is nope. And as we've learned rules of the polling stations are now about bullying and intimidation. Those are now the rules. To participate you have to remain on site, bully, and intimidate the workers there to bring the machines back online.
