Local BLM and DSA is advising against counter-protesting last I heard. They know they're outnumbered and are expecting things to blow over once (if) Pence certifies the results.
I've been at Freedom Plaza all day. Standing by the homeless guy with the blanket right now to be out of the rain. The plaza itself has never been more than 1/2 full. I see crowds of 250k every year back home. There are not 50k here. Not even close. Wish there were. Streets clear around the plaza and the plaza is small. It's never been full. I think a lot came to peek and left. As for the rest of DC, neither you, nor I can estimate how many are randomly walking around.
I think others are right. We'll all be out at once tomorrow.
We just got back from the Lincoln monument and are headed down the mall towards the capitol. Just passed the air and space museum. I'm 6'5" white cowboy hat, my wife is with me, she has a cream colored stetson on.
I've seen at least 50K here of us throughout the day - easy. Thousands alone in freedom park today.
