Simulations don't work when the proper variables are not attributed to the model. I don't think they had a 3+ million patriot variable in the equation and they also didn't expect tens of millions of Americans to be ready to strike back if something were to happen. So... It would make sense to me that Pence counts the Trump votes, then the Dems will object to that. So, what happens? I think that a couple things can happen. Either 12th amendment (1 vote per state) kicks in if this happens with enough states that the votes are disqualified, or maybe the votes can to back to the state legislature to certify.
Pence can count each state’s electors, except the 7 with dueling electors. He can simply say that they’re in conflict in those 7 states and he can’t count them. Since he can’t count the disputed electors (per 12th Amendment) then neither Trump or Biden have enough electors. He can send it back to the legislators to decide.
