Something fucky is going on. The guy tweeting is the NATIONAL COORDINATOR for StopTheSteal (organizers of the million maga march in Nov).

However OP, or somebody, edited the post with that image. The original was a 1 second video which was clearly taken ON FOOT -- NOT "as they're driving" https://www.twitter.com/MichaelCoudrey/status/1346497340513923077

Kind of true. For the most part, you can walk anywhere, they are just blocking a ton of streets off. I spent 4 hours this morning walking around DC this morning and was only stopped once and that was when trying to get closer to the White House.

I'm not gonna mark this for a deport but I experienced no such thing last night. Many streets blocked off around the white house but otherwise smooth sailing. Come on in!

Why don't they go set up some check points at the southern border.

Could be happening, but doesn't make sense.

  1. Previous reports on TDW of open roads.
  2. In the drive to paperless, hotels don't send paper confirmations anymore.
  3. If you stay in hotel often enough, you just show up, you don't bother the paper. If you have an issue, you then dig out your reservation on your email or smartphone app.
  4. There are people with legitimate private business in D.C. and do not stay in Hotels. (AirBnB, friends, corporate owned housing)

There are road closures and no-parking areas that started today to make roads into pedestrian areas. There are areas of D.C. like the Whitehouse lawn that are sensitive and/or off limits that may get you a glance.

1 second video attached to tweet shows 3 people in camo, possibly National Guard who checked no papers and are there to direct traffic if you believe previous reports. Is there another video/picture?

Tweet is looking like an own-goal.

Pretty sure freedom of movement is in the Constitution

Everyone lawfully within the territory of a State shall, within that territory, have the right to liberty of movement
