As long Satan is loose, the peddlers of fake news in the information war will never be gone permanently. Mortified for a season, but never gone. When we win we have to implore people not to be complacent.
I think Satan is taking a break and it's just bad people being bad people. Instead of wishing Satan away and everything being magically fixed, we need to work hard to rewire people's brains and to teach love and compassion and common sense to young ones.
FYI, I believe in Satan, but just think we give him way too much credit and need to hold people more responsible for their own depravity.
