I get what they are trying to say, but are we really supposed to act like there can be absolutely zero construction happening anywhere there is a street? It all actually looked pretty locked up, and at least an attempt at as made to minimize its impact on people walking by.

This and the brick thing sort of seem like gaslighting a little. You could literally see the same pavers used for the sidewalk directly under the pallet in the picture for the bricks.

Don’t get me wrong, they could and would be used as weapons by people, but construction is a normal thing, and in a city, you have to store and lock up your materials best you can, usually right on the street.
