I don't care much for religion, but the teachings of the Bible are very much in alignment with the fundamental principles of science and the scientific method.
People like Dawkin are merely career academics larping as scientists and atheists are the antithesis of reason.
I'm more worried that a lot of "athiests" have quickly turned to pseudo divination and spiritism. Its quite shocking really.
And some atheists have made their politics their religion.
To most of them, progressivism has become their religion.

This is how the Climate Change "scientists" work. If you don't investigate the narrative subjects and concur with the pre-conditioned answers you get no funding. And as we know people are greedy and lazy.

I try to make it a point that we speak of "laws of nature" because of scientists' belief in the law giver whenever some of my peers in academia try to ride the atheism horseshit train.
Atheism is the conclusion only of intellectual laziness. To believe in science is an inherited belief of believing in God. People's ridiculous beliefs about religion have all been formed by TV programming.

I was referring to academia. The Church has problems, I'm not qualified enough to speak on them in detail, and the low-hanging fruit isn't worth the time to point out.
Um... hon... who told you that? Was it the same person who told you that socialism and communism are okay? The Church saved and copied the books. The Church even saved the witches from the witchfearing laypeople, most of the time. Witchburning and bookburning largely happened in Protestant areas, sad to say. (Although bookburning as a policy came from pagan Roman law, actually. It's what you did to seditious books, or harmful magic books, or books on astrology predicting what would happen to the Emperor.)
Because the Catholic Church's continued existence was inconvenient for the UK government back in the day, there's a model of history that was promoted that is called "the black legend." Then there's another version which is mostly the same thing, which is called "the whig model."
The Catholic Church had its problems, and Protestant religion had reasons that people liked it. But the rise of Protestant kingdoms was all about Protestant kings having an easier time grabbing monastery and church property, or the properties of dissidents, and then redistributing them to their buddies and minions. (Although kings like Philip the Fair of France had already been doing that, to the Templars and the Cistercians.)
The catholic church "governed" and had a monopoly on academia. Which itself is a cancer that needs to die, cuz just like modern academia, it only stifles original thought. Academia that dictates what can and cannot be studied, and monopolizes who can get funding, was always corrupt.
I'm not Catholic but I'll take Catholic academia over atheist academia any day.
Catholic Academia had a strangle hold on basic ideas like the earth being the center of the earth, for centuries.
This modern academia, which isn't even atheist, if you look at the people in control, can't even keep a lid on all the shit they're trying to hide.
The modern evil is far lesser. Just cuz you didn't live it, doesn't make it preferable.
Babylon had libraries, science and so on. Israel had rabbi scholars. Both of these before the Catholic Church.
