They're going to tell you that you can get up and walk to the back of the room to stand and not fall asleep sitting there. Do it. Trust me, do not fall asleep in your chair and let one of the drill sergeants catch you.
Other than that just be ready for group punishment for every little thing someone else does. AIT is far better so just focus on getting there.

Basic training was a bitch but I'd choose to do it over again if I were younger. It's a very rewarding experience. Plus I think I laughed quite a bit at all the jokes. I mean, they aren't supposed to be funny but when you've got a drill sergeant in your face screaming about how you you're all are up then it's fucking hard to not giggle.

The BEST advice I got was from my recruiter. He said, "Don't let anyone borrow money" and put $100 every month into a roth IRA.
There is a Dave Ramsey class tailored for military. We took the one for civilians and it was the best money we ever spent.
