I wouldn't take the objects themselves to the secret service as they'll see you dragging a propane tank long before you get close enough to explain why you have said tank. Taking a picture and noting the location and then just walking over and telling them that is better.
Bonus points if you're in a large enough group that you have a few stay with the items to make sure they don't "disappear" once the spotters they have notice you've found it while the others in your group go report it.
Everyone needs to start thinking tactically and be smart about what you're doing. Their handlers are thinking ahead so we need to as well.
True, if they call SS first, they can advise what to do, too. I just hope SS is still on POTUS' side 100%. It is really a shame in any given situation, we have no way of getting a hold of anyone who matters and can do something, i.e., Dan Bongino would be good. He'd know who to call - former SS.
