You aren't getting anywhere near the ellipse in your car. your best bet is to find something further out and shuttle into town.
I'm staying in Arlington Virginia. 4 1/2 miles from the capital you can take the metro train into the city. So you don't have to deal with the traffic.
Search for for public parking. There are garages in Arlington.

Good for you. not sure when its open, but pentagon city mall in Arlington VA has big garages, metro station 3 stops from DC. (used to live 2 blocks from there a few years ago)
How fast does the train get to DC?
Thanks brother this is great I'm on the train to metro center station right now with a lot of MAGA energy around me. I was able to get a few hours of sleep at the parking garage and it's free
