That's with regular bullets, not hollow point. Also I highly doubt those stories. 556 is a very fast round and pierces up to level iii armor. Rags wouldn't stand a chance even at 1000 yards. Plus 556 tumbles when it hits flesh. Designed to induce tons of pain and put you in shock.

Its a good weapon you should look it up, there is actually a good video that they do, they get ak-12,H&K rifle, m4 etc and they put it all in the snow to see if they work.
