Because the people that can do something about it like the courts and congress choose to not care about it. They let it slide. If you’re going to allow it to go when it’s blatant, then why would they stop?
I imagine that the biggest issue there, is that they are recruiting mostly attorneys, instead of state and local law enforcement.
The FBI was once full of agents who had once been military men, or police. Now it’s an organization run by lawyers, who unsurprisingly, focus on politics more than doing the job.
Two months later and nothing's changed, except the country knows of the fraud and the criminals couldn't care less.

The FBI has been shit since the 1990s, the era of Richard Jewell, Waco, and Ruby Ridge. Convince me otherwise.
