A Phoenix is a mythical bird of flame that ends its lifecycle through a great combustion of fire and is born anew, through the ashes of its predecessor. This could symbolize the birth of a new party born after the "combustion" of the Republican party. Our nation has reached the point of combustion and will go through a rebirth.
