Straight white men built the civilization we enjoy today and it was straight white men who gave equality to women, to gays and to POCs/immigrants. I'm just wondering why we did it? The POCs/Women/Gays don't seem to appreciate us and in fact have used their new found power to oppress straight white males, so why did we do it?
Serious question: why don't we take the power back for ourselves?

Just so you know. I am as straight white male as it gets. I'm actually a member of the proud boys (disclaimer: we're actually a very diverse group and what I say doesn't reflect on the rest of the members at all. As individualists, we respect our differing opinions but respect to disagree. We are no collectivists). Tonight, I just spent the last 4 hours hanging out with my friend of mine who is gay. I don't hate gays. I do think faggots are a problem, as in men/women whose lives revolve around their sexual orientation. You're gay. Great. Move on. Life isn't about sexual orientation and teaching children and young adults to base their identity and purpose around their sexual orientation is doing them a disservice. That is superficial. That is not what life is about. That's a power game and does not lead to happiness.
As a straight white male, I feel the hate. It is there. I'm too young to have been the oppressor yet it is still held against me. Why? Either we stop seeing race, sex and sexual orientation as valid tribal distribution or you're going to get straight white males reevaluating their altruism and I don't want to truly go through that process but it's starting to get out of hand at the workplace and society in general. We need to seriously either stop associating based on these tribal factors or it's going to push men like me in a certain direction and I don't even like the direction I'm being pushed toward but I'll go in that direction because ultimately, I must look out for my own interests.

I do believe homosexuals were overly persecuted. I think homosexuality is natural and we'll always have some homosexuals in our society. I do not agree with the promotion of LGBTQ+ culture.
i only made that connection because the person I was speaking to mentioned he was gay. I just wanted hm to fully understand my position. I really didn't mean to virtue signal. Honestly, I don't care about appeasing anyone but I do care about improving society. I do believe gay people are fine if they just keep their sexual origination to themselves, it's the gays who are overly obsessed with it and promote it among children that are a problem.
