If only 1/2 of America pays taxes, I wonder which half that could be? Theoretically what would happen if that 1/2 didn’t file in April? Keep in mind Boston Tea Party was about taxation too.

Almost everyone's employer automatically deducts. I cannot "not pay taxes" because my employer does it for me and I can't do anything about it. Only self-employed can not pay and they are a small minority.
