Oh, friend. Judges is about Israel turning against God again and again and again...and when they cried out to God, He delivered them anyway. Isaiah and Jeremiah, the prophets, spent their ministries pleading with people to repent and offering hope for redemption in the future.

I have no assumptions about America. We aren’t God’s chosen - that’s Israel. We are also very guilty before God.

But, friend - for 10 righteous men God would have spared even Sodom. There has been turnings of hearts in the last few years. We elected Trump, who is the most pro-life, pro-Israel, pro-God President in our lifetimes. We are fighting to bring abortions down. We are blessing Israel. I don’t think God’s quite down with us yet. Maybe He is. But a smoking flax He won’t quench and a broken reed He won’t break.

Take heart, friend. It may not be over yet.

It is interesting to find the "10 righteous men" detail here in this thread discussing the meaning of #doitmike. Because I always thought God patiently took Lot through the "10 righteous men" exercise knowing all the while that he would not find them, but Lot needed to come to this realization himself. Just like the #doitmike tweet is made knowing the outcome, but the readers need to adjust to this reality.

Actually that 10 righteous men convo was with Abraham.

The angels had to straight up drag Lot out of Sodom. Always heartened me that nothing could be done to that city until Lot was out of there... God is good even when we are not!
