Makes sense. Could be true.

I bet Mitt McCon won't be very upset losing control of the Senate.

almost

the truth is this

YOU CANNOT SELL WHEN YOU ARE THE MAJORITY YOU HAVE TO BUY, THUS YOU HAVE NO POWER, AS THE MINORITY YOU GET TO SELL AND YOU HAVE ALL THE POWER AS YOU TRADE VOTES FOR MONEY INSTEAD OF TRYING TO BUY VOTES FOR MONEY.

welcome to the truth.

This is only true for a senate with an intact filibuster. If they sieze all 3 branches they are going to go commie at a speed that would make Lenin blush.

We had full control of the government and couldn't even pass budget reconciliation. Mitch loves to be a cock block for the Democrats. It's what he was born to do. He's not a leader.

100%. Remember all the anti-Obamacare show votes? Remember establishment cheerleader Ann Coulter being the biggest trump supporter until he won? They’re only conservative until it’s time to do something

The Conservative Treehouse has been talking about this for a decade. Glad people are finally starting to listen.

Republican politicians at the federal level do what their donors pay them to do

That's why they won't stop flooding America with cheap foreign labor, that's why they have an Israel first foreign policy, that's why they won't do anything about antifa, that's why they opposed tariffs on China

Republicans controlled the house and the senate when Trump got elected. They wouldn't even vote for border security. People like Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney actually defended antifa.

I agree with that. It sure never felt like the GA candidates wanted to win.

Yep, this is the con. Pretend to fight for conservative or right wing positions while half assing it at best, then when Democrats strike it down they can complain and say they need more support to get it done next time. Dont worry, they still make sure Google and Dow chemical get more lucrative deals and government breaks.

I think it was Bongino explained this once but its true. Government power more often than not revolves around saying no. See you tell someone no you can't do XYZ... then that person has to jump through a hoop or pay you to be allowed to do whatever it is they want to do.

If you are in the Majority all you can do is say yes to your own party leaders. But if you are in the minority or if its a nice even 50/50 split(but the other party has POTUS) then their is power in saying yes for profit instead of no.

"Oh no, I just couldn't figure out a way to do what I promised." Meanwhile, in an omnibus that must pass everyone finds time to slip in 5000 pages of pet projects and pork that literally nobody wants except the friends and family of congress financially benefiting from them, like pissing on drunk rats and gender studies in Afghanistan.

These people literally think we're idiots, but who can blame them. Nancy Pelosi is now worth over 120 million dollars. Invest, spend, profit. The family and friends of all these politicians have built their fortunes "investing" or receiving kickbacks on foreign boards. It's no secret what the purpose of congress is, it's a financial sweepstakes and get-filthy-rich game-show for liars and actors. The purpose isn't to perfect the union, it's to throw as much treasury money in the air and catch as many falling dollars as possible before your time is up.

I've been saying this forever. No controversy from making decisions, shift all the blame to the democrats. Smooth sailing to retirement.

They are the "bad cops". Uniparty is playing good cop, bad cop with the American people. The good and pure Dems just want everyone to love each other and have free gibs but those evil Republicans are always in the way. Too bad their rube voters keep voting against their own best interests.
