You don't get to impeach and remove a president and then have VP step in and name his new VP. Doesn't work that way. SoS becomes VP. So that just doesn't work. And the idea that Pence and Rosenstein would mesh is insane.

Try reading the 25th Amendment before you correct someone:

"1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

  1. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress. "

The next in the line of succession to the presidency after VP is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who would assume the presidency were something happen to remove both the President and Vice President from office (impeachment, death, etc.).
